Automation Task Execution History

Execution history shows how a custom task ran: what started it, which node it is on, how far a batch has progressed, and which error stopped it.

Open Automation Tasks, then choose Execution history on a task.

Execution List

ColumnDescription
Execution IDIdentifier of this run
VersionTask version used by the run
SourceManual, manual override, schedule, or data change
StatusQueued, running, waiting for human action, succeeded, failed, canceled, or not run
Current nodeNode the run is on
ProgressMatching, planning, processing, or finalizing a batch, including the processed count
Started at / Finished atRun timing
ErrorFailure message of the run

The list supports searching executions, filtering by execution status, and refreshing. View on a row opens the execution detail drawer, and Details opens the batch execution item page.

Execution Status

StatusDescription
QueuedAccepted into the execution queue, waiting to start
RunningExecuting the nodes of the canvas
Waiting for human actionStopped at a human processing node until the assignee submits
SucceededEvery node finished
FailedA node failed, or the wait callback timed out
CanceledThe execution was canceled
Not runA branch result or an earlier failure kept the flow from reaching the node

Trigger Sources

SourceDescription
ManualStarted with Run now from the task list
Manual overrideRe-runs a failed or not-run execution
ScheduleStarted by the Cron expression or fixed interval
Data changeStarted when a form record performed the configured action

Batch Progress

Batch tasks report progress for the whole batch:

FieldDescription
PhaseMatching records, planning the batch, processing records, or finalizing
CountProcessed count out of the total
Batch resultTotal, plus the succeeded, failed, canceled, and pending counts

Execution Detail

Choose View to open the execution detail drawer:

AreaContent
Basic infoExecution ID, workflow ID, version, trigger source, current execution data (openable in a new tab), status, current node, batch result, start and end time, duration, error code, and error detail
Automation flow executionPer-node status, attempt count, and duration, plus the trigger snapshot and node execution output

Verify One Execution

  1. Open the execution history after running the task
  2. Follow the progress phases; a batch run reports the processed count
  3. Open the detail drawer and confirm the output of the last node; read the error code and detail when it failed

Troubleshooting

SymptomWhat to check
It stays on "waiting for human action"The human processing node is waiting for the assignee; the execution continues after submission
A node shows "not run"A branch result or an earlier failure kept the flow from reaching it
The execution failedRead the error code and detail first, then inspect the output of the failing node
The batch reports canceled or failed itemsOpen the batch execution item page to see which records were skipped and why
