Using OpenLink

OpenLink manages the external business systems that Soln connects to for integration. Administrators create OpenLink records, control whether OpenLink is enabled, configure security settings, and enter related pages for external forms, integration flows, and subject mapping.

OpenLink configuration is tenant-side data. Each customer workspace maintains its own OpenLink records, security settings, external objects, flow definitions, and mappings.

Open OpenLink from the Integration menu

The left panel shows OpenLink entries in the current workspace. You can search by keyword and select one OpenLink entry to view its details.

AreaDescription

New OpenLinkOpens the creation window
OpenLink ListShows name, system code, avatar, and enabled status, with an edit icon on each entry
Edit OpenLinkClick the edit icon or double-click an entry to open the edit window

Click an OpenLink entry in the list to view its details on the right.

After selecting an OpenLink entry, the details panel shows its name, system code, description, avatar, created time, and updated time.

The top-right actions provide entry points for OpenLink configuration:

ActionDescription
External FormsManage external forms under the selected OpenLink entry
Integration Flow ConfigManage integration flows under the selected OpenLink entry
Subject MappingManage mappings between external subjects and Soln subjects
MoreEnable system, disable system, or delete system

Select an OpenLink entry before entering the related pages. Soln keeps the selected context so child pages can load the matching external forms, fields, flows, and mappings.

Security Settings

The details panel includes security tabs for the selected OpenLink entry.

TabUse It To
Outbound AuthConfigure credentials Soln uses when calling the external system
Inbound AuthConfigure how incoming requests from the external system are authenticated
WhitelistRestrict accepted inbound sources by IP, CIDR range, domain, or URL prefix

Configure security settings before enabling flows that call the external system or receive inbound requests from it.

  1. Click New OpenLink
  2. Upload an Avatar when needed
  3. Enter the System name
  4. Add a Description when needed
  5. Click Create
FieldRequiredDescription
AvatarNoImage shown in the list and details panel
System nameYesName shown in the OpenLink list and the details panel
DescriptionNoExplains the purpose and owner of this integration target, and is shown in the description area of the details panel

Soln generates the system code from the system name, and the code cannot be changed after creation. Use a clear name because related external forms, fields, flows, and mappings are organized under the selected OpenLink entry.

  1. Select an OpenLink entry in the list
  2. Click the edit icon on the list entry
  3. Update the avatar, system name, or description
  4. Click Save

Editing OpenLink changes its display information only. It does not affect existing external forms, fields, flows, and mappings, and security settings are managed from the tabs in the details panel.

Use the More menu to select Enable system or Disable system for the selected OpenLink entry.

StatusEffect
EnabledThe selected OpenLink entry can be used by related configuration
DisabledThe selected OpenLink entry remains available for management but should not be used as an active integration target

Before enabling OpenLink, review its security settings and the related forms, fields, flows, and mappings.

  1. Select a disabled OpenLink entry
  2. Open More
  3. Click Delete System
  4. Confirm deletion

An enabled OpenLink entry must be disabled before it can be deleted. Delete it only when the OpenLink entry and its related configuration are no longer needed.
