Map
Map resources are tenant-side external provider configurations used by Soln pages that need map rendering, search, geocoding, reverse geocoding, routing, or map tiles.
Open System > Resource, then select Map from the resource menu.
Page Structure
The Map page shows one provider configuration at a time.
| Area | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Provider Switcher | Switches between available providers such as Mapbox and Google Maps |
| Credential Form | Saves the provider API key and any provider-specific credential fields |
| Summary | Shows provider, resource key, secret state, and resource status |
| Preview | Displays a map preview after credentials are ready |
| Provider Profile | Shows description, official website, provider code, status, and update time |
Provider Switcher
Use the provider switcher in the top-right area to choose which map provider to configure.
| Provider | Description |
|---|---|
| Mapbox | Used for global map rendering, search, and style-related map capabilities |
| Google Maps | Used for global places, routing, and map tile capabilities |
Each provider has its own resource key, endpoint, capabilities, and secret configuration.
Credential Fields
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| API Key | Yes | Provider credential used by map runtime calls and preview loading |
| Security JS Code | Provider-specific | Additional browser-side security value. It is shown only for providers that need it |
If the selected provider has not been created yet, the page shows a notice. Saving the API key creates the provider resource first, then saves the secret configuration.
Summary
The summary area helps confirm whether the selected provider is ready.
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Provider | Current provider name and default resource name |
| Resource Key | Stable key used to identify the map resource |
| Secret State | Whether the required secret fields have been configured |
| Status | Resource status and whether it is the current default provider |
Preview
The preview area uses the current credential draft to load a provider preview. Use it after entering or updating an API key to confirm that the credential can initialize the map surface.
If the preview does not load, check the provider key, provider account restrictions, allowed domains, and whether the tenant workspace is using the correct provider.
Provider Profile
The provider profile records metadata about the selected provider.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Description | Default provider description or the stored resource description |
| Official Website | Link to the provider website |
| Provider Code | Provider identifier stored on the resource |
| Status | Current resource status |
| Updated At | Last update time of the provider resource |
Common Workflow
- Open System > Resource > Map
- Select the provider from the provider switcher
- Enter the API key and any provider-specific credential fields
- Click Save Configuration
- Check the summary to confirm the secret state is configured
- Use the preview to confirm the provider can load
- Click Refresh when you need to reload the latest provider resource from the server
Notes
Map resources belong to the current tenant workspace. Configure the provider in the tenant where map fields or map-related runtime features will be used.
When credentials are rotated by the provider, update the API key on this page so runtime pages continue using the latest secret.
