Card And Content

The inbox editor contains content editing and card appearance settings. The content explains the message. The card controls how the message is presented in the inbox.

Content Editor

The body editor supports these rich text tools:

ToolDescription
Paragraph, Heading 2, Heading 3Sets the text level. The standard card body starts with an H3 title line followed by paragraph rows
Bold, Italic, Underline, StrikethroughEmphasizes important content
Text color, HighlightColors a span or marks it as highlighted. The standard attribute label uses the gray #8c8c8c
Inline Code, Code Block, QuoteMarks short technical values and quoted blocks
Bullet List, Ordered List, Task ListCreates unordered, ordered, or task lists
Divider, TableSeparates sections or inserts a table
Align Left, Center, RightAligns a block
Link, ImageAdds a clickable link or an image
Field VariableInserts dynamic form data

Keep the message body short enough to scan quickly. Put the main action in the card footer instead of hiding it in long text.

Standard Body Shape

Built-in messages and the recommended authoring style use the same three rules:

  1. Start the body with an H3 title line that names the event, for example ### Approval timeout reminder
  2. Write every remaining attribute on its own line as {color:#8c8c8c}Label{/color}: value
  3. Keep one attribute per line; a single line break is rendered as a line break
### Approval timeout reminder
{color:#8c8c8c}Form{/color}: {{record.data.formName}}
{color:#8c8c8c}Record{/color}: {{record.data.title}}
{color:#8c8c8c}Current node{/color}: {{record.data.currentNode}}

The H3 title line is the card's own heading and is rendered at body size in bold. It is not the same thing as the title text shown next to the header icon.

Keep card chrome out of the body: card colors, the icon chip, the footer strip, and their spacing are part of the card configuration, not the message text.

Card Types

Card TypeBest For
Text CardAll inbox messages; the body carries the content and the footer strip carries the action
ItemDescription
IconSets the card icon or custom SVG
Icon BackgroundFills the rounded icon background; it is the only configurable card color and the icon glyph switches between dark and light automatically
Title TextSets the card title, rendered in bold at body text size. Always displayed

Body

ItemDescription
Show bodyWhen off, the card renders the header and the footer without any body text, which is useful for short notices
Body line limitLimits the body to 1-20 lines and ends the last visible line with an ellipsis. Leave it empty to render the full body

Card Colors

The card uses a fixed two-color palette: #F9FAFB in light mode and #171717 in dark mode. The text and body always switch to the matching contrast color, so no per-area color configuration is needed. Use the Light/Dark switch in the preview to check both modes.
