Role Assignments

Role Assignments grant the selected role to members, departments, or organizations.

The role permissions take effect only when the subject matches an enabled assignment within its effective time window.

Assignment Subjects

Subject Type	Description
Member	Grants the role to selected members
Department	Grants the role through department membership
Organization	Grants the role through organization structure

Create An Assignment

Click New Binding from the role detail top bar.

Configure:

Field	Description
Principal Type	Member, department, or organization
Principal	The selected assignment subject
Binding Enabled	Controls whether the assignment is active
Start Time	Optional time when the assignment starts
End Time	Optional time when the assignment ends

If no start or end time is set, the binding can be always effective.

Edit An Assignment

When editing a binding, the subject identity cannot be changed.

To switch the subject, delete the current binding and create a new one.

Effective Window

The binding list shows whether a binding is always effective, starts from a time, ends at a time, or has a start-to-end range.

Disabled or expired bindings do not grant effective permissions.
