Role Model
The role model defines the role itself.
It does not assign the role to users and does not grant permissions by itself. Assignments and permissions are configured after the role exists.
Role Fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Role Code | Stable technical code for the role |
| Role Name | Display name shown to administrators |
| Status | Enables or disables the role |
| Description | Explains the role's responsibility, assignment rule, and expected lifecycle |
Role Code
Role code supports lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores.
Use stable codes such as sales_operator, finance_manager, or regional_admin.
Avoid changing role meaning after the role has been assigned, because permission audits usually depend on role intent.
Status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | The role can be assigned and used |
| Disabled | The role is temporarily unavailable |
Disable a role before deleting it.
Description
Use the description to record:
- who should receive the role
- what business responsibility the role represents
- when the role should be reviewed or removed
