Multi select fields store multiple values chosen from a configured option list. Runtime users choose values from a dropdown.
Use a multi select field for tags, applicable categories, supported regions, skills, channels, or other fixed lists where more than one option can apply.
Basic Settings
| Setting | Description |

| Name | The field label shown to users. It is required and should describe the selected values clearly |
| API Name | The stable technical name used by data APIs, scripts, formulas, imports, and integrations. It is required |
| Required | Requires users to choose at least one option before the record can be saved |
| Readonly | Shows selected options but prevents users from changing them |
| Disabled | Makes the field unavailable for normal use |
| Hidden | Stores selected values while hiding them from normal form pages |
Multi Select Field Config

| Options | Defines the selectable option list. Each option has a display label and a stored value |
| Placeholder | Prompt text shown before users choose options |
| Show Search | Allows users to search options in the dropdown. This is useful when there are many options |
| Validate Trigger | Controls when option validation runs: when the value changes, when the field loses focus, or when the record is submitted |
| Input Status | Adds a visual status to the field, such as warning or error |
| Invalid Option Message | Custom message shown when one or more selected options are invalid or no longer available |
| Field Color | Sets the display color used for the field |
| Help Text | Helper copy shown near the field. Use it to explain how users should choose options |

| Add Option | Adds one option row to the list |
| Batch Insert | Adds multiple options at once. Use one option per line, or Label:value when the stored value should be explicit |
| Batch Copy | Copies the configured option list for reuse |
Configuration Tips
