Hidden Fields

Hidden Fields manages fields that are not shown in the current layout.

Use this when a field exists on the form but should not appear in a specific list, view, create, edit, or relation layout.

Hide A Field​

You can hide a field from the canvas. Hidden fields are removed from the visible layout and listed under Hidden Fields.

This affects only the current layout. The field still exists in Field Design and can still be used by other layouts, formulas, scripts, imports, reports, and integrations.

Show A Field Again​

Open Hidden Fields and use the show action to return a field to the layout.

After showing the field, place it in the appropriate field group on the canvas.

Hidden Field Vs Disabled Field​

Hidden fields and disabled fields are different:

Disabled in Field DesignThe field itself is disabled for the form

Use Layout Design when the field should be hidden only for a specific page layout. Use Field Design when the field should no longer be available as a form field.
