Layout List
The layout list is used to create, copy, select, edit, and delete layouts for the current form.
Create A Layout
Click New Layout to create a layout.
You can choose:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Create Blank | Creates an empty layout from scratch |
| Copy From | Creates a layout by copying an existing layout as the starting point |
Copying is useful when two pages need similar structure but different scope, required fields, hidden fields, or page events.
Select And Edit
Select a layout card to inspect the layout. Use the edit action when you need to change its information, canvas groups, hidden fields, required fields, or page events.
Unsaved changes must be saved before leaving the edit state. If you return with unsaved changes, the page asks whether to discard them.
Default And Custom Layouts
A default layout can be used by all users when no more specific custom layout matches.
Custom layouts can define page type, scope, priority, sort settings, grouping, hidden fields, required fields, and page events. Runtime pages match the layout according to page type, scope, and priority.
Follow Or Independent Layout
Some page layouts can follow another layout or use an independent layout.
Use Follow Layout when the current page should reuse the structure from another applicable layout. Use Independent Layout when the page needs its own grouping, hidden fields, required fields, or events.
Delete A Layout
Use delete only when the layout is no longer needed. Deleting a layout also removes the configuration stored under that layout.
The page asks for confirmation before deleting.
