Layout Info
Layout Info defines how a layout is identified, where it applies, and how it is matched at runtime.
Layout Name
The layout name is shown in the layout list and helps administrators identify the layout.
Use a name that describes the page or audience, such as Sales List, Manager Edit, or Partner View.
Applicable Page
Applicable Page determines where the layout can be used.
| Page Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Default | General layout used when no specific page layout matches |
| List Page | Layout for record lists |
| View Page | Layout for viewing a record |
| New Page | Layout for creating a record |
| Edit Page | Layout for editing a record |
| Relation Page | Layout for related records |
After a layout is saved, the applicable page cannot be changed. Create another layout if the page type was selected incorrectly.
Display Priority
Display Priority controls which layout wins when multiple layouts match the same page and scope.
The value range is 0 to 10. A higher number matches first.
Data Sort
Data Sort controls the default record order for supported list scenarios.
It applies to list pages, relation pages, and child-table lists on view pages. Choose the sort field and sort direction when the layout should open with a specific order.
Scope
Scope limits who or what the layout applies to.
When no scope is added, the layout uses Default: Available To All. Add scope rules when different users or contexts need different layouts.
Matching Rule
At runtime, Soln evaluates the page type, scope, and display priority to select the layout.
Use a higher priority for more specific layouts, and keep general layouts at a lower priority.
